Accounts Payable Team Leader - Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd : Job Details

Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader to join their forward-thinking company, dedicated to driving sustainable solutions for a better future.

As the AP Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervise and lead the Accounts Payable team
• Oversee daily operations: invoice processing, payment runs, supplier queries, reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant regulations
• Monitor AP metrics, resolve issues, and implement process improvements
• Support month-end close and provide reports to the Finance Manager
• Liaise with procurement, vendors, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with audits and year-end reporting as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, systems, and controls
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• A team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent) desirable

What’s On Offer For You:

• An annual salary of £37,000 – £40,000, with a yearly review
