We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a fast-paced and creative production company on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will manage a small team, oversee AP operations, and support the Financial Controller in driving process improvements across a collaborative finance function.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the AP team, providing training and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Oversee invoice processing, expense claims, Ltd Co payroll, and payment runs
- Manage credit card and prepaid card programmes, including reconciliations and postings
- Review bank reconciliations, weekly cashflow forecasts, and key AP accounts
- Resolve supplier queries, reconcile statements, and build strong relationships
- Support month-end with tasks such as cashflow reporting and PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations
Requirements
- Previous AP leadership experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, IF/SUMIF)
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and multi-currency reconciliations
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience with PMI accounting system and Barclays.NET banking is desirable, but not essential
