- Process and verify supplier invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Manage payment runs, ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Maintain accurate records and support month-end closing activities.
- Liaise with suppliers to address queries and ensure smooth communication.
- Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory filings as required.
- Support process improvements within the accounts payable function.
- Collaborate with the wider accounting & finance team for ad-hoc tasks.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
- Relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- A strong understanding of basic accountancy principles and processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
