With a clear ambition to become the Midlands' go-to professional services firm, they are now seeking a skilled Client Manager to join their team and play a key role in this journey. About the RoleAs an Accounts Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of year-end accounts. You'll lead and develop a high-performing team, review and finalise financial statements, and conduct year-end meetings with clients via phone or video call. This role is primarily focused on technical delivery and compliance rather than advisory or business development. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise & Compliance
  • Stay informed on tax laws, sector specialisms, software, and legislative updates to enhance service delivery.
  • Review and finalise year-end accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. -
  • Ensure all work adheres to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership
  • Manage the performance, development, and engagement of your team through 1-to-1s, mentoring, and training.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, identify learning needs, and provide coaching to empower your team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that embodies our core values.
Practice Improvements
  • Drive efficiencies by suggesting and implementing improvements in procedures.
  • Support others and contribute to shared team success.
Client Interaction
  • Conduct year-end meetings with clients via phone or video call to review final accounts.
  • Provide clear and empathetic communication regarding compliance matters.
  • Respond to client queries related to year-end accounts and compliance.
Experience and Skills:
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills to support team growth.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accountancy practices, tax laws and relevant software.
  • Strong technical expertise in accountancy and tax.
  • Leadership and team management skills aligned with company values.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for client interactions.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to compliance.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
