A global logistics and events provider is seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant to support its growing finance function. Sitting between Operations and Events teams, this role is central to ensuring accurate financial processes and smooth day-to-day administration. It offers scope for progression into payroll, HR support, and financial reporting as the business expands.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, issue, and approve client invoices.
- Reconcile supplier invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports.
- Generate financial activity reports and monthly client statements.
- Support credit control and debt recovery.
- Respond to finance-related email enquiries.
- Progression opportunities: payroll, P&L reporting, audit reviews, bank management, foreign currency, and HR administration.
- Maintain supplier documentation and input data into the CRM system.
Candidate Profile
- Proven accounting administration experience.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Xero accounting software (essential).
- Confident in adapting to new software systems.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Right to work in the UK (DBS check may be required).
Desirable: Fluency in French, Italian, or Spanish; knowledge of transport logistics or events; CRM system experience.
