An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join the finance department of a renown, market-leading organisation with branches all over the UK. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and professional finance function within a business known for its excellence and strong reputation across its industry. This position is ideal for a candidate with prior experience in a similar position and strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes. Whilst previous experience in professional services is advantageous, it's your ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with stakeholders that will truly set you apart.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for their own portfolio, being the main point of contact for account queries from suppliers and clients. This role is varied, including a wide range of duties from raising and processes invoices, chasing payments, handling client queries, to completing supplier and bank reconciliations, assisting with payment runs and month end. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working within a dynamic finance team who's friendly and collaborative work environment has been their cornerstone to the team's success.

What you will need:

  • Prior experience covering both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • A proactive nature, able to excel in a position where you are given autonomy to handle your own ledgers and management of stakeholders including suppliers and clients.
  • Be self-organised, ideally with a track record of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency working with Excel and other accounting software.
