We’re currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a fast growing business based in Bedfordshire. This is a solid, hands-on accounting role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, values accuracy, and is looking to grow with a business during an exciting phase of investment and expansion. You’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring the company’s financial records are kept up to date, accurate, and well-maintained. Role: Accounts Assistant Salary: £26,000 to £32,000 Location: Luton, Bedfordshire (Office based) Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices across group companies.
- Managing cashbooks and reconciling bank accounts.
- Monitoring and maintaining creditors and debtors.
- Producing weekly debtors reports.
- Maintaining records for company credit card expenses.
- Bookkeeping for investment entities.
- Supporting with ad-hoc finance admin tasks as required.
Required skills and qualifications:
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Minimum 18 months experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Sage 50 is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a similar multi-entity environment (Desirable).
- Confident communicator, comfortable with professional challenge when required.
- Ability to work to multiple tight deadlines.
