Accounts Assistant
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Southwest London (Hybrid working 3 days in the office)

Working Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm

A leading, dynamic organisation in the heart of Southwest London is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their buzzing Finance function. You’ll be part of a lively and fast-paced team, working closely with both the Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and loves being part of a supportive and social working culture.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes - making sure our daily numbers are accurate and accounted for.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Securely counting and recording company takings
- Reconciling daily sales and reporting any discrepancies
- Investigating card payment issues
- Assisting with the preparation of daily sales reports
- Reconciling vouchers, deposits, and bank transactions
- Raising and issuing deposit and final invoices in a timely manner
- Helping manage credit control and aged debt
- Generating financial reports for internal use
- Supporting audit preparation and general finance projects as needed
What we’re looking for:
- We’re after someone with a good head for numbers, a strong eye for detail, and a proactive attitude. You'll ideally bring:
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Confidence working with Microsoft Excel (especially for reconciliations and reports)
- Clear, confident communication skills - both verbal and written
- Previous experience in a similar finance role (retail sector experience is a bonus)
- Exposure to finance systems such as NetSuite would be a plus, but not essential
- Have MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Formula
