Are you ready to join a friendly, collaborative finance team where your growth is genuinely supported? A leading, dynamic organisation in the heart of Southwest London is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their buzzing Finance function. If you're organised, detail-focused and eager to grow in your finance career, this could be the perfect role for you.

You’ll be part of a lively and fast-paced team, working closely with both the Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and loves being part of a supportive and social working culture.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes - making sure our daily numbers are accurate and accounted for.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Securely counting and recording company takings
  • Reconciling daily sales and reporting any discrepancies
  • Investigating card payment issues
  • Assisting with the preparation of daily sales reports
  • Reconciling vouchers, deposits, and bank transactions
  • Raising and issuing deposit and final invoices in a timely manner
  • Helping manage credit control and aged debt
  • Generating financial reports for internal use
  • Supporting audit preparation and general finance projects as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • We’re after someone with a good head for numbers, a strong eye for detail, and a proactive attitude. You'll ideally bring:
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Excel (especially for reconciliations and reports)
  • Clear, confident communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role (retail sector experience is a bonus)
  • Exposure to finance systems such as NetSuite would be a plus, but not essential
  • Have MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Formula

You’ll thrive here if you are:

  • Friendly, approachable and reliable
  • Great at prioritising and staying calm under pressure
  • Flexible and happy to work a mix of shifts and hours if needed
  • A team player who loves working with others - but equally confident getting stuck in independently
  • Keen to learn and take on new challenges as the company continues to grow

Why you’ll love working here:

This is a company that genuinely cares about its people. You’ll be working in a modern, collaborative environment, with access to fantastic training, development opportunities, and potential for study support (subject to business approval). The wider team are down-to-earth, supportive, and love celebrating milestones - whether that’s over team lunches, after-work socials, or festive get-togethers.

Perks include:

  • 28 days holiday
  • Pension
  • Hybrid working (a great mix of office buzz and home focus)
  • Professional development support & on-the-job training
  • Opportunities for career progression within a growing business
  • Being part of a close-knit team where your contributions truly matter
  • Ready to kickstart or grow your career in finance with a company that values people just as much as performance?
