Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant with a strong background in transactional accounting and a keen eye for detail? Our client, a growing company based in Plymouth, is seeking a proactive and adaptable Accounts Assistant to join their forward-thinking finance team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a well-rounded finance career in a supportive and collaborative environment. As Accounts Assistant, you'll provide critical support across all areas of the finance function including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support across Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and query resolution.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, cash allocations, and posting journals.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Help ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll information.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and audits.
• Maintain and update financial records in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure efficient communication.
• Undertake ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required to support the wider team.

About You:

• Hold or progressing towards AAT accreditation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
• A team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
