Accounts Assistant - £13 - £15 per hour - Gerrards Cross - Ongoing temporary role (potential of permanent employment)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organised and motivated Accounts Assistant who is AAT Level 3/4 qualified or currently studying towards it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process purchase and sales invoices.
• Maintain the purchase ledger and sales ledger, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
• Perform bank reconciliations and post daily transactions.
• Assist with credit control, chasing outstanding payments and updating aged debtors reports.
• Support month-end tasks such as journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with suppliers to resolve queries.
• Process employee expenses and petty cash claims.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Desirable:

• AAT Level 3 qualified or currently studying.
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
