Our client in the private veternary industry are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support their finance operations. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team and gain broad exposure in a dynamic, multi-site business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable and receivable
- Support bank reconciliations and posting of transactions
- Help prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit preparation
- Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely manner
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Confident using Excel and finance systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, NetSuite)
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Studying towards AAT or similar qualification is a plus
