- Assist in processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.
- Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Assist in VAT returns and other regulatory compliance tasks.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting function.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and learning new skills.
