Job Title: Temporary Finance AssistantLocation: Cradley Heath (fully office-based)Contract: Temporary - Minimum 3 MonthsWorking Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

• Friday: 8:30am - 3:00pm

• 34 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Robert Half is currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a Temporary Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team in Cradley Heath. This is a fully office-based position, working 34 hours per week over five days, for a minimum of three months, with the potential to be extended.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting core financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across various accounting functions.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Maintain and update accounting records and journals

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

• Assist with payroll processing

• Support the finance team in audit preparation

• Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting support role

• Working knowledge of Sage 1000 or Sage 200 is highly advantageous

• Good basic Excel skills (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas)

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work fully on site for the full duration of the contract
