Accounts Assistant Doncaster, South Yorkshire Up to £34,000 Elevation Accountancy & Finance are thrilled to have partnered with a well-established local business as they look to expand their finance team and onboard a new Accounts Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.This will be a varied, hands-on role where you’ll support core finance activities, and play a key part in the day-to-day operations of a small but busy finance function. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience and grow within a supportive company that values long-term development.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly accruals, prepayments, and journal postings to ensure accurate month-end reporting
- Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and ledger reviews
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, including processing supplier invoices, credit control, and resolving queries
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries for review by the Finance Manager
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records (digital and physical where needed)
- Help with the day-to-day administration of finance and operations systems
- Support with general office and finance team coordination
- Collect and check weekly timesheets for payroll processing, including for both permanent and temporary staff
- Provide administrative support to HR processes as required
- Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments including HR, production, and operations
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a broad finance/accounts support role
- Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities in a small team
- Familiar with accounting software e.g. Sage 50 or similar
