An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a growing manufacturing company based in Stretford.

This role provides the opportunity to manage Debtors Ledgers proactively, ensuring prompt payment and minimising bad debt. What you'll do:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the Debtors Ledgers, ensuring prompt payments and minimising bad debts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include allocating daily cash receipts across various bank accounts, chasing aged debts, organising sales ledger data using Excel, dealing with customer queries, liaising with internal contacts to resolve any disputes or issues, producing regular reports for the Finance Director, completing month-end ledger reconciliations, and working closely with the Finance Director to develop credit control procedures. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and a strong understanding of how the credit control function impacts company cash flow, customer relationships, and future sales.
What you bring:
The ideal Accounts Assistant will bring a wealth of experience in Sales Ledger maintenance and administration. You will have proven experience in Month End Ledger Reconciliations and Invoice Discounting, with the ability to work across multiple ledgers. Your strong Excel skills will enable you to manipulate large amounts of data effectively. You will have a deep understanding of how the credit control function impacts on company cash flow, customer relationships, and future sales. Your excellent organisational skills will allow you to prioritise your workload effectively, and your outstanding communication skills will enable you to liaise at all levels.
