Accounts Assistant - Temporary

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an accounts environment and possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Day to Day of the role:
- Ensure sales invoices are raised correctly and on time.
- Follow up on invoices in query to resolve them promptly.
- Raise credit notes as requested.
- Remove cancelled orders from the system weekly.
- Maintain the Accounts inbox, dealing with or assigning queries daily.
- Ensure compliance with group rules on financial controls.
- Assist with daily reconciliation of cash book and bank accounts.
- Assist with checks and controls over all outgoing payments and sales refunds.
- Assist with data entry of purchase ledger, including validation of invoices, reconciliation of supplier statements, and scheduling supplier payments.
- Process company-wide credit card expenditure, ensuring all receipts are collected.
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and keep filing up to date.
- Assist with booking hotels for engineers as required.
- Provide support and cover for other areas within the finance department as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an accounts environment.
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions (advantageous but not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ideally have or working towards AAT level 2.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop robust working relationships.
- Strong team player.
