Robert Half Talent Solution are partnering with a company based in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a Permanent basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department with various accounting and administrative tasks

Accounts Assistant

Permanent - Hybrid working , Mon - Thurs office based and Friday working from home.

Salary - £27,000

Hours - 9.00 - 5.15

Location - Cardiff

Your responsibilities will include :

• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger by recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries as needed.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
• Process Invoices & Receipts
• To be able to take control of Sage
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function. Implement best practices to streamline work flows and improve accuracy.
• Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis,

Requirements

• Process Driven
• basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures,
• proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
