Accounts Administrator - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £28,000
• Location: Just outside of Harlow
• Job Type: Full-time - office based

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to manage various accounting tasks, including invoicing, credit control, and ledger management. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the company’s financial operations run smoothly and will also contribute to other areas of the business as required by the company directors.

• Handling accounts, invoicing, and closing maintenance/service jobs in our accounting system.
• Managing sales orders, credit control, sales ledger, and purchase ledger tasks.
• Preparing VAT returns, handling VAT Reversal, and dealing with CIS.
• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Undertaking general administrative duties, including answering telephone calls and scanning documents.

• Proven experience in an accounts role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (please specify if a particular software is required).
• Experience with VAT returns, VAT Reversal, and CIS.
• Skilled in bank reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
• A team player who is also capable of working independently.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.
