Job Description :

My client is at the cutting edge of AI technology and they are looking for mission-driven Accounts Administrators to join their UK team due to continued growth.

The role is an inside IR35 contract for an initial 3 months to start ASAP, there will be potential for it to extend or transition into a permanent role.

They are based central London and the position will require 2 days in the office per week

The role

As an Accounts Administrator you will be responsible for managing their day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial records. Your primary duties will include recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our finance department and requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of accounting principles.

The day-to-day

  • Review day-to-day financial transactions
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts
  • Maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
  • Monitor financial transactions and reports
  • Assist with budget preparation and analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
  • Assist in financial analysis by providing insights into variances and trends
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Assist with ad-hoc strategic projects (e.g., IFRS conversion, implementation of an ERP system)
  • Coordinate with external auditors and outsourced providers as relevant
  • Have experience in finance administration, bookkeeping or accounting, or looking for your first finance related role or currently studying a finance related subject
  • Have strong purchase ledger experience
  • Understand basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Are proficient in using Microsoft products, especially Excel
  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy Have excellent organisational and time-management skills
