Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose:
To oversee the financial health of the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. Ensuring transactional data is processed and reconciled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payments, payroll, bank recs, VAT returns and general ledger
- Prepare monthly financial reports with support from external accountancy firm for presentation to the owner
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, banks
- Improve financial systems, policies, and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain credit card reconciliations and analysis
- Ad hoc projects as advised by the owner
Qualifications:
- QBE considered
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
- Proficiency in financial software (Sage 50)
- Excellent analytical, communication skills

Working Conditions:
- Office-based with hybrid 3 days office based (MWT)
