Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a well-known and established business based on the outskirts of Southampton, which is seeking to recruit a newly-created Accountant position. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations.
- Complete P11D forms for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Support Financial Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual finance statements.
- Support the finance function in the production of forecasts and annual budgets.
- First stage review on finance documentation as required.
- Support across the Commercial and Finance team on projects.
- Post journals to the general ledger, maintaining accurate and detailed financial records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Generate financial reports as required, supporting management with financial analysis
- Financial analysis to support decision-making within the company
- Other Ad Hoc tasks as required
Key Skills & Experience:
- Progresing towards full chartered accountant status (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
- Experience of working in a finance team
- Experience in the preparation of financial reports for both business month-end and year-end processes.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software packages, primarily excel formulas and pivot tables, and experience of recognised accounting software.
- Confident to challenge and able to influence business behaviour and projects.
- Be a team player and self-starter, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills
