Assistant Management Accountant/ Accountant  

Job Type: Full-time / Office based.  

Location: Woodbridge office  

Salary:  £28,000 - £35,000 + Depending on experience and qualifications  

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Assistant Management Accountant who is part CIMA or ACCA qualified and has exposure to management accounts. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills and train further in the field of accounting. 

Day to day of the role: 

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. 

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes. 

• Management credit risk management / Set up new suppliers.  

• Perform variance analysis to understand differences between actual and budgeted figures. 

• Contribute to the development of internal control policies and procedures. 

• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting. 

• Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required. 

• Help in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings. 

• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA, with a commitment to complete the qualification. 

• Experience in a role with exposure to management accounts. 

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team. 

• Driven and ambitious, with a strong desire to learn and progress within the company.
