Overview
My client is associated with the film industry.
We now have an exciting new vacancy for an Accountant to head up Management Accounting and FP&A team in fast growing Finance team.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts / reporting packs and supporting schedules for UK and European subsidiaries.
- Monthly consolidation of European companies across multiple divisions for both local and group reporting.
- Profitability and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Preparing various balance sheet and expense accounts reconciliations for stakeholder reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly project costing, recharges, capex spend and comparison to budget with variance analysis.
- Preparing cashflows for subsidiaries and consolidation at European level.
- Compiling budget information from UK and European subsidiaries and creating local and regional budgets.
- Performing feasibility analysis on CAPEX and maintaining Fixed Assets Register.
- Managing inter-company invoicing and reconciliations.
- VAT and intrastate reporting.
- Assisting in annual / interim audit process.
- Monitoring monthly financial closing process as per reporting timetable
- Assisting financial controllers in any ad-hoc reporting.
- Ensuring compliance and filing of local tax and statutory requirements like VAT filing, Corporation tax, completion statements etc.
- Ensuring compliance with financial internal controls and policies are maintained across the board.
- Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports.
Accountant
Technical Skill:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 3 years of experience / Part-Qualified accountant with over 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience of managing full production of management accounts in fast growing companies and complex business environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to organise and work with large volumes of data independently.
- Good understanding of the VAT and reverse charges.
- Excellent / Expert presentation and MS Excel skills.
- Experience of RTPro and Acumatica will be useful but is not essential as full training for the role will be provided.
- Experience of engaging with multi-site teams.
