Digital Software Accountant

Our client is currently recruiting for a Digital Software Accountant to join their team.

In addition we offer the option to work on a hybrid basis balancing your working hours between our office and your own home.

Our office is in a characterful old mill building situated beside the river Uck, yet 2 minutes walk from the bustling town centre of Uckfield. 

We have plenty of free parking and rail and bus stations right on our doorstep.  It’s not hard to see why many of our team choose to work from our office on a daily basis.

Who are we ?

We are an established, award winning bookkeeping practice providing bookkeeping and accounts department solutions to small businesses and companies throughout the UK.

Our clients work in a wide range of industries where our use of modern digital technology provides them with valuable real time financial information. 

We have close working relationships with our clients, and in many cases work alongside them on a daily basis.  

The Role

The role exits to support both our clients and our internal teams by implementing and maintaining a wide variety of accounting software systems and will include the following:

  • Migrating desktop accounts systems to cloud applications
  • Interrogating software for accuracy and completeness
  • Implementing software systems and add on apps for new clients
  • Optimising automation
  • Implement new services such as management accounts and job costing
  • Implement internal systems for efficient workflow
  • Carry out software training for staff and clients
  • Research and test new software products and apps        

This will be an exciting role for an energetic individual who has sound bookkeeping and management accounting experience and who has a keen interest in modern digital software.

Salary dependent upon experience. Between £34,000 - £38,000 pa for a 37.5 hour week

  • Fully qualified, part qualified or wanting to study for an accounting qualification.
  • Has an excellent understanding and experience of Management accounts preparation
  • Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping processes
  • Has an excellent understanding of digital software – Xero, QBO,etcHas a good knowledge of additional apps and add on software
  • Has excellent Communication skills
