Real Estate Account HandlerLocation: Glasgow (Hybrid)
We are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a leading specialist in insurance and risk management services, to recruit a Real Estate Account Handler to join their team in Glasgow.
The Opportunity:Reporting to the Real Estate Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of property and liability claims across the UK and Europe—from initial investigation through to final settlement. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service while adhering to all technical, operational, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaising with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders—both in the UK and overseas.
- Producing clear and accurate reports in line with internal guidelines and professional standards.
- Managing time reporting, billing, and processing in line with company procedures.
- Ensuring all invoices are issued accurately and promptly.
- Working closely with the client’s Loss Adjusters where appropriate.
- Attending internal and external client review meetings as required.
- Experience in real estate or commercial property claims is highly desirable, particularly within a loss adjusting or insurance handling environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- You will be confident in decision-making and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
- Professional qualifications (or progress towards one) such as Cert CII or similar would be an advantage.
