3rd Line Engineer / Senior Technical Engineer - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
• Location: Southwark, London
• Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid (30% onsite)

We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to join our IT, Operations, Systems team. This role is crucial in providing strategic technical support and leading IT initiatives that align with our mission to build the foundations of a healthier society. As a Senior Technical Engineer, you will be the final escalation point for complex IT issues and will work closely with the IT Manager to deliver high-quality support services and implement new solutions.

• Serve as the final escalation stage for support, resolving complex technical changes and issues.
• Work autonomously to resolve technical challenges and contribute to project decisions.
• Act as a technical reference point, proposing new technology or working practices to improve operations.
• Mentor and guide less experienced IT support team members.
• Maintain and support Intune-managed hardware inventory and application clients.
• Ensure effective and secure local area network management.
• Support Microsoft Office suite, Windows 11, and web applications; software installation and troubleshooting.
• Manage support lifecycle, investigate and resolve or escalate tickets as required.
• Support hybrid meeting solutions and cloud printing.

• Experience as a Senior / 3rd Line Engineer on Microsoft Technologies in a similar environment.
• Advanced Microsoft365 support skills, including Azure, Entra, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint.
• Experience supporting and configuring Azure servers and architecture.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Intune and understanding of configuration profiles, application packaging, compliance management, and Autopilot.
• Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell), Power BI knowledge is a bonus.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework or service management concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage incidents and prioritise effectively.
• Experience in mentoring and delivering user training and guidance.
