2nd Line Service Desk Engineer - Henderson Scott : Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join a growing UK-based IT Service Provider on a permanent basis. They are a trusted provider that have built a brand with integrity, offering clients a range of support solutions including; Strategic Guidance, Cloud Services, IT Infrastructure along with tailored re-active and pro-active support services. This role will be hybrid with 2-3 days a week in the office (Surrey, near Horsham) and the rest would be remote with occasional customer site visits. • Configure, support and maintain hardware and software solutions for the business and its clients including Microsoft Windows (8,10 & 11) & Apple OS, Office & Microsoft365, Active Directory, Azure, physical servers, networking, SAN infrastructure, virtualised solutions, security, remote access, Disaster Recovery & backup.
• Manage and maintain the business' proactive monitoring, ITSM and security tools, together with day-to-day management of client solutions such as Azure Backup and Site Recovery, VMware virtualised infrastructure and supporting SAN storage etc.
• Deliver support responses and technical resolutions in a timely manner in a fast-paced, environment.
• Assist in the development and updating of new technology standards / installation guides and ensure client documentation is up to date.
• Managing and supervising more junior Engineers
