2nd Line Engineer - Infrastructure - Connected IT : Job Details

An opportunity has arisen within a company that specialises in the provision of a wide range of IT solutions and services. The company are expanding their team are recruiting for two engineers with a focus on infrastructure and technologies.

Working with a variety of clients that range from SME to large companies, you will be involved in 2nd line engineer support of a wide range of technologies, as well as having the opportunity to be involved in project work. Responsibilities will include 2nd line support for microsoft server / operating systems, storage, virtualisation, cloud and network security.

Requirements

We are looking for a 2nd Line Engineer who has experience of the listed technologies (not all are essential):

• Microsoft / Windows server
• HyperV, VMware and/or Citrix
• SAN/ storage technologies
• Backup: Veeam/Backup Exec/Zerto
• Office 365
• Cloud technologies - AWS/Azure
• Experience as a 1st / 2nd line / IT support engineer
• Any experience with Cisco networking and security products would be beneficial

It will be essential that all applicants are eligible to work in the UK. The role is based on site in Skipton and will be a Monday-Friday 9-5 role, with no requirement for on call. Travel to client sites in the local area is also a requirement of the role.
