1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Preston, LancashireStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-term (term time only)Tempest Resourcing are supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston who are seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional learning needs on a full-time basis.About the role:

• Provide 1:1 classroom support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they feel engaged, confident, and supported in lessons.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored learning strategies and interventions.
• Support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school day.
• Help manage behaviour in a positive and encouraging way.
• Record progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff and parents.

About you:

• Previous experience supporting children in a primary school or SEN setting.
• A calm, nurturing, and patient approach, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Good understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
