1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Independent School (Camden)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming independent school in Hampstead, Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's learning journey within a nurturing, supportive environment.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant: The Role

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil who is pre-verbal, calm, and has a wonderful sense of humour.

• Assist with communication and learning using adaptive technologies.

• Support the pupil during speech and occupational therapy sessions within school.

• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement and progress.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant: The School

• Independent, non-selective school set in leafy Hampstead.

• Caters for pupils aged 2-16 across two sites.

• Rated "Good" by Ofsted: "Pupils love coming to school because their lessons are fun and learning is exciting."

• Warm, welcoming ethos with a strong focus on respect, discovery, and creativity.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant: Requirements

• Experience supporting children with communication and learning challenges.

• Valid Positive Handling / Safe Hands restraint training (essential).

• Energetic, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting learning.

• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
