CTG is seeking to fill a z/OS Systems Programmer (Mod Sys) opening for our client in Atlanta, GA.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Provide overall management and administration of z/OS in a low-activity development environment
Support and maintain subsystems including CICS, DB2, IMS, SMS, JES2, and RACF
Establish and configure new CICS regions, DB2 subsystems, and IMS regions as needed
Perform system modifications and maintenance using z/OS assembler
Troubleshoot and resolve system and subsystem issues
Participate in system planning, upgrades, and testing activities
Work collaboratively with application development and operations teams to support system requirements
Skills:
Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system and related subsystems (CICS, DB2, IMS, JES2, RACF, SMS)
Proficiency in z/OS assembler and system exits
Understanding of SMP/E, system initialization, and system tuning
Experience with creating and maintaining JCL, REXX, and CLISTs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience:
5+ years of experience in z/OS systems programming
Experience managing and supporting enterprise-level mainframe environments
Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and support major subsystems such as CICS, DB2, and IMS
Education:
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $40.00/hour to $42.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
