Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.We are now hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, Youth Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in Levittown, PA to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities - supporting 2 males in the home with daily living skills. Starting pay is $17.00/per hour ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities tailored to their Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP)Assist children in meeting the goals and objectives of their ISP/PCPAssist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygienePromote the physical and emotional well-being of supported childrenMonitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concernsAssist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skillsParticipate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activitiesDrive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the communityEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyBuild a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and familiesEnsure work locations and vehicles are clean and well maintained to provide a safe environmentEmployees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigationAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedMinimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be 21+ years oldValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordAbility to work individually and with team to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsAbility to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management skillsWorking ConditionsMay support individuals with severe behavior support needs that place the individual and others at risk of harmWork in residential programs, day programs, and in the communityTransport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehiclesSchedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hoursOvertime may be required due to business needsFrequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be requiredMay be required to lift or move 25+ poundsMay assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory participantsMay be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseasesWhy Community Options?
