Career Advisor At Goodwill Northern New England

As a Career Advisor at Goodwill Northern New England, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others by offering expert career guidance, personalized coaching, and valuable resources to low-income people, people in recovery, or people just released from a correctional facility. You will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, guiding individuals in exploring career options, providing resume and interview preparation assistance, and facilitating workshops and seminars.   • Develop and/or provide work-related assessments of personal aptitude, abilities, skills, and knowledge.
  • Coordinate customer services with other internal and external programs, service providers, community organizations, employers, and training providers.
  • As needed, prepare and maintain accurate customer personal plans, progress summaries, progress notes, and other documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency, in combination with either:
    • Experience supporting clients with barriers to employment
    • Experience developing business relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel as required to worksites, training locations, partner agencies, and client access points.
  • A criminal background check that meets Agency standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in business, Human Services, Human Relations, or related fields
