Youth Care Worker - 2nd and 3rd Shift - Bashor Children's Home : Job Details

Make a Difference in the Life of a Child.Bashor Children's Home is seeking compassionate and committed Youth Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you'll provide direct care and supervision for youth in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. You'll play a critical role in fostering emotional growth, teaching life skills, and helping youth build a brighter future.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youth.Supervise and support youth to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.Teach and model positive coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.Lead group activities that support social, recreational, and personal development.Monitor and document daily behavior, progress, and any incidents.Respond effectively to crisis situations, using de-escalation and emergency protocols when needed.Communicate regularly with youth and staff regarding progress and concerns.Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous learning opportunities.Follow all agency policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards.QualificationsHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Must be 21 years of age or older.Experience or training in trauma-informed care, behavior management, or therapeutic environments is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to build trust and rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.Dependable, calm under pressure, and effective at problem-solving.Willingness to work a consistent schedule, including rotating weekends and on-call shifts.Must pass background checks and drug screening as required.Schedule & CompensationFull-Time Shifts:Second Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM | $19.87/hourThird Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM | $16.11/hourPRN (As Needed): PRN Base Rate: $15.45/hourFirst Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMSecond Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PMThird Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AMWeekend Premium: Additional $3.00/hour for weekend shiftsShift Structure:Full-time staff on 1st and 2nd shifts work a 4-days-on / 2-days-off rotation3rd shift full-time staff work a 5-days-on / 2-days-off rotationAll full-time staff share on-call responsibilities and weekend rotationsWhy Join Bashor?Supportive, mission-driven team environmentOpportunities for professional development and advancementComprehensive benefits for full-time staffThe chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable youthIf you're passionate about working with youth and want to be part of a team that helps children and families grow and heal, we'd love to hear from you.Location: Bashor Children's HomePosition Type: Full-Time or PRN | Multiple Shifts AvailableDepartment Direct Care Role Youth Care Worker Locations Bashor Campus
