Director of Marching Band in the Department of Music Duties include, but are not limited to: - Responsible for teaching/directing all ensembles related to the River. Hawk Marching Band - Responsible for organization, administration, and development of the marching band program (including drill writingpreferred although not necessary, supervision of students, travel, equipment/inventory management, and budgeting) - Provide leadership of the marching band including music selection, and/or arranging; field show design; and supervision of Student Band Staff - Keep current with development in the discipline; mentor and support students; be accessible outside of classrooms and rehearsals - Coordinate with the Athletic Director and Football Coach for use of athletic facilities for practice - Collaborating with the Director of Band in the overall administration of the university band program.
