Job Description :

As a provider of voluntary, permanent life insurance benefits we are looking for people with great customer service and analytical abilities to handle our customers' group billing. Employees in our Worksite Billing Specialist position support our worksite groups by servicing their accounts, which includes ensuring accurate group billings are created and sent, reconciliation of payment is quick and accurate, and service to their company is professionally handled. Work also includes collections, resolving complicated billing inquiries, and audits. What's in it for you?   • Schedule and provide billing statements to employer clients and process all remittances received by applying or refunding premiums to individual policies accurately.
  • Communicate with employer clients, agents, TPAs and/or policy owners via phone or email to assist with any billing related items timely and thoroughly.
  • Send notifications to employers when working daily variance report, and/or utilize TPA enrollment systems to verify policy owner information - all to ensure accurate billing and payroll deductions.
  • Monitor suspense balances daily and work weekly departmental reports to ensure all outstanding ledger debits and credits are cleared and/or in compliance with department requirements.
  • Work monthly aging report, perform regular group clean-up, move policies to home bill when appropriate, review and mail late letters or otherwise contact employers regarding past due payments.
  • Involvement in designing and testing IT projects for system enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Banking or financial experience with basic understanding of debits and credits, basic mathematical computations with high degree of accuracy, and basic understanding of accounting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in order to correspond effectively with employer clients, agents, TPAs and policy owners via phone and email and/or in person.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while facing deadlines, maintaining accuracy and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a group or independently with little oversight.
  • Self-motivated and enjoy a fast-paced working environment.
  • Able to successfully pass a background screening.
Required Education / Certifications:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Location of Position:
  • 900 Washington Avenue, Waco, Texas
Working Conditions:
  • Employees must be able to work December of each year, excluding company scheduled holiday time off.

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Texas is between $32,000 and $36,000.
