We are looking to add a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to our Creative Risk Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have jurisdictional experience in FL, NC, KY, TN, VA, MD. This role involves:
Receiving, gathering, and accurately transmitting workers' compensation information from communications with the insured, claimants, and internal staff in a timely manner.Investigating, evaluating, and resolving lost time Workers' Compensation claims, including litigated claims.Mediating situations between the insured and the insurance company, including researching coverage issues, with minimal supervision.Entering and maintaining accurate information on a computer system during the claim process, including final settlement details.Generating checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.Developing and monitoring consistency in claims handling procedures within CRS.Willingness to become licensed if required in the jurisdiction where claims are handled.Qualifications include:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Technical designations like AIC and CPCU are encouraged.3-5 years claims experience, especially in Workers' Compensation.Active state-specific Workers' Compensation License or ability to acquire one within three months. Licenses needed for FL, NC, KY, TN, VA, MD.Proficient knowledge of Workers' Compensation coverage and claims procedures, with ability to adjudicate across multiple jurisdictions and adapt to various software programs.Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, insurance coverage interpretation, and compliance requirements.
