Job Type Full-time Description Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking an Workers' Compensation (WC) Admin to ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires a proactive, highly organized professional who can anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality while supporting key leaders. **This role will be hybrid: 2 day in office and 3 days remote**Key Responsibilities: Fax Management: Monitor incoming faxes and route them to the appropriate coordinator. Phone Support: Answer calls in the phone queue and manage voicemail messages. Billing and Documentation:
- Send reports to vendors and verify billing is entered correctly.
- Follow up on unpaid invoices after three unsuccessful attempts by the coordinator.
- Reach out to adjusters to confirm billing details and request payment for outstanding services, including surgeries.
Scheduling:
- Schedule all imaging and EMG appointments; submit vendor referrals.
- Schedule outside referrals when there is no provider preference.
- Schedule outside imaging and injections as needed.
Worklist Oversight:
- Monitor and manage the EFR and OPT worklists.
- Maintain the No-Show list and create tasks for coordinators as needed.
Case Management Support:
- Address emails related to unattached cases.
- Process UC referrals that come in after hours.
- Serve as the backup for the WC TCC
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of administrative assistant experience.
- Experience with contract management or document tracking.
- Technology savvy.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Naturally curious with a desire to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and continuously improve processes.
- Excellent listening and writing skills with the ability to remain neutral and objective when documenting information.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Knowledge of healthcare software preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in a medical setting.
