ResponsibilitiesThe global communications team requires an engineer whose responsibility is evaluation, testing, delivery and support of cellular network services. This role will report within our network engineering team. This being a key role in selecting and delivering cellular networks, our cellular network integration engineer requires a broad skill set including:

Communication: Can work with technical and non-technical teams to deliver appropriate updates to networks, limiting impact to business

Qualifications+ Bachelor's degree in related field.
+ 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
+ Equivalent combination of education and experience are considered in lieu of degree.
+ Hybrid work environment (50% in office) with Rhode Island based office.
+ Expertise with routers, switches, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, VLANs, encrypted tunnels, encryption technology, and wireless technology.
+ Experience with network automation (Ansible), scripting (Python, Bash)
+ Knowledge of OSS/BSS systems and performance management tools
+ Strong understanding of cellular technologies including LTE, and 5G NR
+ Strong understanding of cellular edge routers and management
+ Excellent troubleshooting skills to lead/ participate in major incident and problem management activities.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interface with team and the customer.
+ Deep technical knowledge working across multiple applications, operating systems and devices required.
+ Work closely with managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the infrastructure.
+ Monitor changing technology and deliver a technology update to management as required.
+ Participate in disaster recovery planning activities.
+ Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading the IT Infrastructure as required.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
