WIOA PETS Associate (Cumberland County) -- Temporary Solutions

This position is located in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and serves several counties including Chatham, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland. It is a full-time, entry-level position with no leave or retirement benefits offered.

Job Description

This temporary position involves locating and providing information and services to potentially eligible, eligible, and under-served children and families with VIB ages 14-21 according to WIOA/PETS legislation. The employee will work with DSB VR Staff to implement and deliver pre-employment transition services to students with visual impairments, blindness, or deaf-blindness, focusing on areas without a current MOU with local school systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with youth, school staff, providers, and individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to use MS Office effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants must clearly reflect their training and experience related to:

• Working with youth ages 14-21 and school personnel.
• Outreach, networking, and relationship building with organizations.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities.

Additional Information

Individuals hired must be fully qualified for the role. This position cannot accommodate dual employment and is for those not currently employed by NC State Government. Exposure to agency culture and processes can provide valuable experience for future employment opportunities.

Compensation
