As a part time Welcome Host you will be a warm welcoming face at our main public entrance to greet anyone who enters the building. You will be the first interaction with our guests and be warm, welcoming and focused on providing a great guest experience for all of those who enter our facility. In addition, you will answer questions and also provide consistent eyes & ears to identify any potential issues and contact the appropriate support teams as needed. The salary range for this 17 hour per week position is around $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill set. Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the main Entrance Desk throughout open building hours in order to provide consistent care and customer service to those entering our campus.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, trouble-shoot situations that may require additional support and then engage the correct teams to solve those problems (Security, Operations, Facility Management, etc),
  • Escort families to play spaces and communicate when areas of the facility are closed for public use.
  • Serve as the eyes and ears for those entering our campus during public open building hours
  • Provide light administrative assistance to the Willow South Barrington Operations team including following up on inquiries about upcoming events, facilitating inquiries about rentals, managing the check out process for first come/first serve spaces, signing for deliveries and other customer service needs as they arise
  • Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to Willow groups as they approach the desk to check out open rooms in the building, complete intake forms, walk groups to their spaces and ensure they have everything they need.
Success is Defined As... Ensuring a welcoming, friendly & safe environment at the campus' main entrance while assisting people with questions, directions to events or connecting to available services/businesses. Also, identifying any potential risks to the campus or people through visual observations and relational interactions at the entrance and on cameras & calling for the right supports Requirements Preferred Skills and Experience Skills/Competencies:

Education and Experience:
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Administrative experience to field online and phone inquiries about Willow spaces
  • Ability to read people and situations
  • Familiarity with safety and security protocols and measures preferred
