The Wholesale Equipment Specialist is responsible for selling and acquiring excess and non-retail used equipment. This position will also be back up to support the retail used equipment efforts
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing sales reps with trade in numbers. May have to visit end user facilities to personally inspect larger trade in fleets
- Wholesaling equipment to various companies across the US, including independent forklift dealers.
- Monthly visits to all branch locations to confirm wholesale equipment status
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory in equipment management systems
- Prepare and send quotes, proposals, and follow-ups to internal and external wholesale customers
- Develop and maintain e-commerce platform for select used equipment
- Provide weekly status reports to direct manager on results, status of accounts and wholesale activity
- Update CRM with photos of used equipment
- Assist Used Equipment Manager with retail transactions when needed
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service or equipment sales preferred
- Knowledge of material handling, heavy equipment or similar machinery is a strong plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Sugar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Ability to drive across the Carolinas and Georgia to visit G&W's branch locations and customer facilities
