Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Ligonier, IN is seeking candidates for a 1st Shift Wheat Receiver/General Labor position. Wheat Receiver Job Summary:•

  • Pay: 17.50/hr•
  • 1st Shift: 7am - 4pm Monday - Friday + extended hours and weekends as needed/required.
  • Receive all incoming deliveries of wheat
  • Grade wheat
  • Fill out all paperwork pertinent to the receiving of wheat, ie. driver logs and wheat tickets
  • Obtain samples for testing in the mill laboratory
  • Bin wheat based on wheat grading
  • Maintain wheat complex (includes lubrication, bin temperatures, bin aeration schedules)
  • Sanitation of outside grounds and interior of wheat complex
  • Communicate with mill crew to ensure proper flow of wheat into the plant for production
  • Maintain traceability records of grain movement, and monthly and yearly wheat inventories.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.
Wheat Receiver Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, lift, twist on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to life repetitively up to 30lbs-60lbs.
  • Employee must perform their job within acceptable safety, environment, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined.
  • Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather
