Welder Trainee - ASTEC INDUSTRIES : Job Details

The position involves assisting in fabrication, preparation, and finishing tasks while working in a production team.Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare production areas
• Handle materials by loading/unloading metal parts and moving heavy materials
• Prepare metal by cleaning, grinding, cutting, etc
• Assist other workers on-site with various jobs
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
• Comply with all safety protocols to ensure the safety of employees
• Participate in hands-on training and classroom learning for welding techniques
• Move throughout departments as needed to assist in various tasks
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Perform other job functions as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Lift 50 lbs
• Stand long periods
• Background Check
• Authorized to work in US
• Minimum Age 16
