Welder - Illinois Staffing : Job Details

We are seeking a welder to join our maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado location. As a welder, skilled in the craft of welding and fabrication, you will provide necessary support to all areas of the mill in a safe manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Reading prints, planning work, procedures and techniques
• Obtaining and moving materials, tools, and equipment
• Operating all equipment needed to complete the job
• Directing others in conditioning and preparation
• Observing lockout procedures
• Performing routine maintenance and assisting maintenance personnel
• Obtaining and maintaining OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in welding or have completed a welding apprenticeship
• Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication and welding, structural experience and certification preferred
• Valid Colorado drivers license
• Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes and spaces; able to take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage your time when given multiple tasks
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel
• Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, make repetitive motions, hear, etc. and the ability to constantly exert forces up to 50 pounds and frequently exert forces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push and pull
• Ability to work in inside, outside, and adverse environmental conditions with elevated noise levels and physical hazards
