Sound like you?Work for the Smart Safety CompanyLocation: Eagan, MinnesotaAs a Welder you are responsible for welding together the aluminum extrusions for ladder racking units and delivery vehicle shelving units. Additionally, you will have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery including robotic welders, and various weldments. May perform other duties as assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI's).Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper readings.Use a variety of other powered hand tools, stapler, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after welding for quality standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.Ability to cross train to other departments as needed.Education, Experience and Qualifications:High School Diploma/Equivalent6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility as a welder.Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.Ability to pass pre-employment weld testReliable and dependable attendance.Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workersMechanical aptitude preferred.Safety First attitude.Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.Schedule:First Shift - Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM$24/hour
