Weighmaster - County of Lake, California : Job Details

Under direct supervision, performs basic operational support and routine clerical duties at the County solid waste landfill site; operates a computerized scale, related computer software to weigh materials brought for waste disposal, and determines fees; checks waste loads in order to verify charges and monitor for inappropriate items; utilizes a cash register and credit card equipment to collect and receipt fees for the public; provides instructions and disposal information to the public; maintains records associated with the landfill site; and performs related duties as assigned. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS - This is a journey-level class. Incumbents operate the computerized scale and related fee computation system to determine fees and load charges for the use of the County landfill waste disposal facilities.
