Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience and at least one (1) year of programming experience in a web-based environment.
- Experience in both Windows and Macintosh environments.
- Preferred: Experience in multimedia design and programming in a higher education or community college setting.
- Experience administering learning management systems such as WebCT and Blackboard Vista.
- Experience training and supporting faculty in producing online course materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to manage technology projects through all phases from planning to production.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a diverse educational environment.
- Advanced knowledge of programming, web technologies, information architecture, server/client interaction, interface design, usability, open standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Proficiency with web development tools to create complex websites and applications.
- Expertise in HTML/XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and server/client-side scripting languages such as ASP, PHP, Python, or Java.
- Experience with multimedia authoring tools for audio, video, and multimedia products.
- Strong background in developing and managing content management systems.
- Proficiency with standard office and multimedia software applications.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Production, Instructional Technology, or related field required. Eight (8) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
