We are seeking a Windows Web Applications Architect in the Norwood, MA area.

This is a 12-month position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities include working with business and program management teams to gather, refine, and document specifications; architecting and leading the development of robust, high-performing web applications aligned with business objectives; establishing application performance and efficiency guidelines and guiding the development team to achieve them; leading a team of development resources; collaborating with business groups, IT development, and system administration teams to ensure successful implementation; researching emerging technologies to enhance applications, architectures, and processes; understanding existing web applications, debugging issues, and improving performance; working independently with minimal guidance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of proven success as a senior web developer
• Experience aligning web solutions with business objectives through engagement with PMs, BAs, and stakeholders
• Experience architecting high-volume, high-availability web applications using CDN, SQL, and .NET technologies such as C#/MVC and Entity Framework/Linq
• Experience implementing SOA and SAML 2.0 federation using WCF and WIF
• Building reliable, scalable .NET web applications with proper use of OOP, Design Patterns, ORM technologies
• Leading software development teams under various SDLC methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
