Wastewater Operator - Ametek : Job Details

Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager the position is responsible for operating the Wastewater Pretreatment System and maintaining records in the operating logbook, hazardous waste storage log, shipping manifest and chemical inventories. Essential Elements: Prepare hazardous waste shipments for pick-up Perform manual operations such as filter press and clarifier cleaning, replacement of spent chemical containers and general cleaning of the waste water treatment area Perform calibration of all waste water treatment equipment Any required maintenance within WWT Prepare and maintain records and reports as required Perform daily work as assigned Work will be performed in all areas of the facility, both indoors and outside Secondary Elements: Use of mathematics in performance of some duties, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; simple use of formulas, charts and tables.
